For a couple of years now, I've had a "latest builds" page of VoodooPad where you can download the latest and greatest build of VoodooPad and run the risk of having all your data deleted because of buggy builds. I've brought that same great technology to Acorn: Acorn and VP latest builds page.

It's not actually that bad, and it's usually a bit more stable than what's currently out there as a release. But it doesn't get tested as much and bugs sometimes slip through.

Anyhoo- I'll be releasing Acorn 1.0.1 relatively soon, and if you want to try it out before it hits the streets officially, you now know where to go. There's also instructions for setting Acorn to track development builds if you're brave.

New for 1.0.1- fixes for a couple of crashers, and a jpeg compression / quality slider when you save. I completely underestimated the number of folks who wanted control over jpeg compression, and decided it just couldn't wait till 1.1's export for web.

Sometimes I'm a little naive.

I've also started a new wiki up for Acorn. I'm slowly migrating the current homegrown wiki over to the new one (Wikka) since it does a lot more and is generally the nicest wiki I've come across. Registration is required because of spam (bastards!). It's still sparse, but it's a start.

Oh look, plugin examples.
